Please accept this letter of recommendation for LeeAnne Gibney. LeeAnne has been our daughter’s
private art teacher for the last 3-4 years, and we couldn’t be more pleased. She met with our daughter
Helen every other week during that time, and we saw remarkable progress in Helen’s work. The
diversity of the artwork was amazing. Buildings/architecture, interior design, animals, landscapes,
abstract designs, as well as beautiful and lifelike work depicting faces and people. She became familiar
with charcoal, pencil, watercolors, and colored pencils as a result of her studies with LeeAnne. I don’t
think there was a medium she didn’t try.
LeeAnne is upbeat, calm, friendly, and flexible. Our daughter wasn’t interested in a group class, and
LeeAnne’s gentle direction was exactly what she needed. She was really good about letting us know if
there were supplies that might be helpful to Helen, and she always gave us good recommendations
about what to buy and where to buy them.
Ultimately, there are several pieces of Helen’s artwork that we had professionally framed and displayed
in our home. They are really that good – and largely a result of LeeAnne’s guidance.
I highly recommend LeeAnne Gibney for any position involving teaching art. You would be extremely
lucky to have her on your staff!
